The winery is located in the municipality of Rossatz in the wine-growing region of Wachau on the right bank of the Danube (Lower Austria). The traditional family has been growing grapes here for 150 years. The foundation stone for the business was laid by Heinz and Florentine Frischengruber from the 1980s onwards. After graduating from the viticultural school Klosterneuburg and practical stays in South Africa, the Palatinate and New Zealand, it has been run by son Georg since 2011. The vineyards cover ten hectares of vineyards in the Frauenweingärten, Goldberg, Kirnberg, Kellerweingärten, Kreuzberg, Pointen, Steiger and Zanzl vineyards. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltlinerä, Riesling,Pinot Blanc and Muskateller.
For my many years of work as an editor with a wine and culinary focus, I always like to inform myself about special questions at Wine lexicon. Spontaneous reading and following links often leads to exciting discoveries in the wide world of wine.
