Foxtail

Name (also lamb's tail, sheep's beard, sheep's tail) for a frequently occurring grape form; see there.

In principle, there are two different types of grape (grapes or table grape): a shouldered grape with a wedge shape and an unshouldered grape with a cylindrical shape. This is often a typical morphological characteristic of a grape variety, but both forms or mixed forms also occur in many varieties, even on a single vine, on which there are always several bunches. Examples of this are Muscat Blanc, Tempranillo and Welschriesling. Many varieties are also named after grape shapes, which are often similar to animals or plants (see last paragraph).
