The red grape variety (breeding number CS.V.T. 55) is an interspecific new variety between Seibel 4986(Rayon d'Or) x Csaba Gyöngye. The name means "Danube pearl" in German. It contains genes of Vitis aestivalis, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in Hungary in 1966 by the breeder Pál Kozma. In 2016 in Hungary a cultivated area of 45 hectares was declared (statistics Kym Anderson).
