Douradinha

The white grape variety comes from Portugal. Synonyms are Alfrecheiro, Alfrocheiro, Alfrocheiro Branco, Branquinha, Engana Rapazes, Esgana Rapazes, Espadeiro Branco, Fernão Pires de Beco, Malvasia Fina, Padeiro Branco, Talia, Trebiano and Ugni Blanc. It must not be confused with Fernão Pires or Trebbiano Toscano (Douradinha) (previously considered identical), despite the fact that synonyms or morphological similarities may appear to indicate this. According to the most recent DNA analyses carried out in 2020, this is probably a natural cross between Amaral x Alfrocheiro (two red varieties). In 2016 no stocks were reported (statistics Kym Anderson).
