The red grape variety originates from Italy. Synonyms are Cornacchiola, Cornaiola, Findendo, Findento, Fintento, Fintindo and Gruone. According to DNA analysis carried out in 2021, it comes from a presumably natural cross between Ancellotta x unknown father variety. A direct descendant is the Lambrusco Grasparossa variety. Cornacchia is mainly used as table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
