The "E.Pira & Figli - Chiara Boschis" winery is located in the municipality of Barolo (province of Cuneo) in the Italian region of Piedmont. It was founded in 1800 by the old Pira family of winegrowers, who are mentioned in church records as early as the 17th century. Gigi Pira was a legendary representative of the old production school. The business was then taken over by friends Franco and Ida Boschis in 1980. It has been run by their children Chiara and Giorgio Boschis since 2010.

The vineyards cover 14 hectares of vines in Barolo (in the Liste, Paiagallo and Terlo parcels ), Monforte (in the Mosconi, Coste and Ravera parcels) and Serralunga (in the Baudana and Gabutti parcels). They are planted with the red wine varieties Barbera and Nebbiolo. The vineyards are cultivated according to the certified rules of organic viticulture. All work is carried out manually. This includes short pruning, yield reduction through thinning out and strict selection during the grape harvest. The grapes are carefully transported in half-filled, flat harvest cassettes.
