The winery is located in the Saint-Émilion area. It was part of the Moueix family empire from 1969 to 2004. After the death of Armand Moueix, extensive changes were made by Nathalie and Marie-José Moueix. Among other things, the proportion of Merlot was greatly increased and Cabernet Sauvignon was eliminated. In 2004 the estate was sold to Adams French Vineyards. It is classified as "Grand Cru Classé", which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards cover 18 hectares of vines, planted with Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc (20%). The long-lasting red wine matures for 24 months in new barriques. The second wine is called "Clos Goudichaud".

The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
