Château de Tigné

The winery in Tigné is located in the Anjou appellation in the Loire region. It was bought in 1982 by the French actor Gérard Dépardieu (born in 1948) and is one of the many celebrity wineries in the meantime. Over the years he expanded it from 25 to 80 hectares of vineyards. Dépardieu has dedicated himself to organic winegrowing. Red wines, white wines and sweet wines are produced. Top products are the red wine cuvées "Cyrano" (based on a film role of the actor) and "Mozart". Whenever his time allows, Dépardieu works in the vineyards and in the cellar. In the meantime, the actor is also engaged in the Médoc and in Saint-Émilion as a winemaker.
