The winery is located near the commune of Saint-Émilion in the area of the same name (Bordeaux). An ancestor of the long-standing owner family Reiffers received the estate at the beginning of the 18th century from the Sun King Louis XIV (1638-1715) as a gift for services rendered in various campaigns. It was last run by Sophie Fourcade-Reiffers, who sold it to the Cuvalier family in 2013. At the beginning of the 2000s, the farm was converted to organic viticulture. The farm was (after a degradation) classified again as "Grand Cru Classé" in 2012. The vineyards cover 17 hectares of vineyards planted with Merlot (70%), Cabernet Franc (20%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%). The long-lasting red wine matures up to 18 months in 50% new barriques.
