The VCIG area(quality wine) is located in the southwest of the Asturias region, which is in the northwest of Spain. It comprises only about 100 hectares of vineyards around the small, namesake municipality of Cangas de Narcea on quartz and slate soils. These are planted with the red wine varieties Albarín Tinto (Alfrocheiro), Carrasquín, Verdejo Negro (Trousseau Noir), Mencía, Moscatel de Grano Menudo Rojo (Muscat Rouge) and Garnacha Tinta, as well as the white wine varieties Albarín Blanco, Albillo, Picapoll Blanco, Moscatel de Grano Menudo Blanco (Muscat Blanc) and Godello.
The Wine lexicon helps me to keep up to date and refresh my knowledge. Thank you for this Lexicon that will never end in terms of topicality! That's what makes it so exciting to come back often.
