Blauer Gelbhölzer

The red grape variety originates from Germany. Synonyms are Blauer Gelbhölzer, Blauer Hudler, Blauer Kläpfer, Blauer Luttenberger, Blauer Räuschling, Gelbhölzer, Kläpfer, Räuschling Noir, Schwarze Lomersheimer and Schwarzer Räuschling. It must not be confused with the variety Roter Räuschling. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2013, it is a presumably natural cross between Weißer Heunisch (Gouais Blanc) x unknown partner. It is suitable as a winepress and table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
