single vineyard in the municipality of Pommern (Burg Cochem area) in the German Moselle wine-growing region. The south-facing vineyard with a slope of 15 to 55% covers 6.5 hectares of vineyards on deep and stony greywacke and Devonian slate weathered soil. Here, mainly the Riesling variety is cultivated. Shares in the site are held, for example, by the wineries Fuchs Reinhold, Schneiders Moritz and Zenzen Ewald.
As honorary chairman of the Domäne Wachau, it is the easiest and quickest way for me to access the wein.plus encyclopaedia when I have questions. The certainty of receiving well-founded and up-to-date information here makes it an indispensable guide.
