The winery is located in the municipality of Pommern (Terrassenmosel area) in the German wine-growing region of Mosel. It is owned by Eva-Maria Vallendar. The vineyards cover three hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Goldberg, Sonnenuhr and Zeisel. They are 100% planted with Riesling, a large part of them still with ungrafted vines. The vinification is traditional and conservative. Behind the motto "wine as grown" is a natural, quality-oriented cultivation of the vineyards, must extraction on a wine press from 1904, fermentation exclusively spontaneously with natural yeasts, no fining, no deacidification and predominant ageing in oak barrels typical of the Moselle. The vineyard name from which the wine comes is indicated on the labels (in Mosel Franconian). The number of "foxes" under the name indicates the quality level. With few exceptions, the wines are marketed as quality wines.

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
