Yakut

One of the most popular and best-selling brand wines from Turkey, produced by the large Kavaklidere winery. The name means "ruby" and refers to the colour of the wine. The spicy, tannin-rich red wine with fruity aroma is blended from the autochthonous varieties Boğazkere and Öküzgözü, as well as Mazuelo and Alicante Henri Bouschet. The grapes come from vineyards in eastern Anatolia and the Aegean region. The wine is also exported in large quantities.
