Vriesenhof

The winery is situated on the slopes of the Helderberg in the South African wine district of Stellenbosch. In 1981 it was bought by the former and in South Africa immensely popular rugby national player Jan Coetzee and developed into a top winery. Before that he was a winemaker at the Kanonkop Estate Winery and shaped the high quality of the Pinotage red wine there. His trademark is that he is predominantly barefoot. The vineyards cover 20 hectares of vineyard area. They are planted with the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Merlot and Pinotage. The flagship is the red wine "Callista" (Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot). The second label is called "Paradyskloof" for red wines and "Talana Hill" from the sister estate of the same name for white wines. About 300,000 bottles of wine are produced annually.

If I were to rate websites, you would deserve the highest rating. It is rare to come across websites that provide such a large amount of data and are still so intuitive to use. Respect for the lovingly researched and informatively prepared encyclopedia. Keep it up!
