Tsinandali (wine)

The originally protected PDO area is located in the Kakheti region in eastern Georgia. It stretches from 300 to 750 metres above sea level on the right bank of the Alazani River in the municipalities of Akura, Busheti, Gulgula, Ikalto, Karajala, Kondoli, Kurdghelauri, Kvemo Khodasheni, Nasamkhrali, Ruispiri, Shalauri, Tsinandali Kisiskhevi, Vanta and Vardisubani. The dry white wine is blended from the varieties Rkatsiteli and up to a maximum of 15% Mtsvane Kakhuri. The straw-yellow wine has a fruity, slightly bitter aroma of grapefruit. There is also a historical winery called Tsinandali.
