single vineyard in the municipality of Bernkastel-Kues (Bernkastel area) in the German Moselle wine-growing region. The south to south-west facing vineyards at 125 to 225 metres above sea level with a 60% slope cover 12 hectares of vines. On the stony, medium-textured Devonian slate weathered soils, some of which are clayey, the Riesling is cultivated for the most part in ungrafted form using the single-pole system. The best plots are comparable with the famous neighbouring Doctor site. The wineries Dr Pauly-Bergweiler, Geheimrat J. Wegeler Erben, Molitor, S. A. Prüm, Studert-Prüm and Wwe. Dr H. Thanisch Erben Müller-Burggraef, for example, have shares.
For my many years of work as an editor with a wine and culinary focus, I always like to inform myself about special questions at Wine lexicon. Spontaneous reading and following links often leads to exciting discoveries in the wide world of wine.
