Description for the smell and taste of a wine in the context of a wine speech or wine evaluation. For this note, the aroma compound Megastigmatrienone is responsible. Especially wines from the varieties Chardonnay, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, and Syrah possess this distinctive dry-sweet note reminiscent of tobacco, as is particularly typical for cold cigars.
