Seyve-Villard 18-402

The red grape variety (also SV 18-402) is a new variety between Seibel 7162 (Plantet x Seibel 5163) x Seyve-Villard 12-308 (Seibel 6468 x Subéreux). It contains genes from Vitis berlandieri, Vitis cinerea, Vitis lincecumii, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. It is one of the many products of the French vine breeding company Seyve-Villard and was used as a crossing partner for other new varieties such as the Rathay, Roesler and Seifert varieties at the Klosterneuburger Weinbauinstitut. No stock was identified in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
