Seyve-Villard 18-402

The red grape variety (also SV 18-402) is a new breeding between Seibel 7162(Plantet x Seibel 5163) x Seyve-Villard 12-308 (Seibel 6468 x Subereux). It contains genes of Vitis berlandieri, Vitis cinerea, Vitis lincecumii, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. It is one of the numerous products of the French vine breeding company Seyve-Villard and was used as crossing partner for other new breeds such as the Klosterneuburger Weinbauinstitut for the varieties Rathay, Roesler and Seifert.
