DOC area for red wines, rosé wines and white wines in the Italian region of Sicily. The zone covers three hectares of vineyards in the municipality of Sambuca di Sicilia in the province of Agrigento. If the grapes come from classified vineyards, Vigna can be indicated followed by the vineyard name. The single-varietal wines must contain at least 85% of the respective variety, a maximum of 15% can be other permitted ones. The white wines are Ansonica (Inzolia), Chardonnay and Grecanico (Garganega). The red wines are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Nero d'Avola, Sangiovese and Syrah. The Bianco is made from Ansonica (max. 50%) and other authorised varieties (max. 50%). The Passito is made from Ansonica (max. 50%), Grillo and Sauvignon = Sauvignon Blanc (max. 50%). The wine types Rosso and Rosato are produced from Nero d'Avola (max. 50%), as well as other authorised varieties (max. 50%). All red wines are also available as Riserva.
