Drunkenness

A term commonly used in Austria (also Spitzerl) for drunkenness of a moderate degree; a "small intoxication", so to speak. Equivalent is Schwips. See also other expressions under intoxication and also under alcoholism.

Wine description

Description (adjective) for a wine that is too acidic and/or tannic; see under edgy.

Winegrowing community

A well-known Austrian wine-growing community in the Wachau is Spitz a. d. Donau.
