Hindenburg

The white grape variety is a new variety between Rosa Menna di Vacca (Parmak Cerven) x Mathiász Jánosne. It was named after the German President Paul von Beneckendorff and Hindenburg (1847-1934). The crossing was made in 1917 in Hungary by the breeder Pál Kocsis. The variety is cultivated in Bulgaria and Hungary. It is mainly used as table grape but also for white wine.
