The white grape variety comes from Georgia. The parentage (parenthood) is unknown. It was described by the French ampelographer Victor Pulliat (1827-1896) as a late ripening vine with yellow-white berries. The variety is cultivated in the former USSR, especially in the Caucasus states of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. However, no stocks were reported in 2016 (Statistics Kym Anderson).
