The winery is located in Zöbing am Kamp in the Kamptal wine-growing region (Lower Austria). It was founded by Josef Eder and acquired by Georg Leindl and Martin Nigl in 2013. Georg Leindl previously worked in research, teaching and consultancy for 20 years. The vineyards cover 8 hectares of vines in the Eichelberg, Heiligenstein, Irbling, Kogelberg and Seeberg vineyards. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling and Viognier. A speciality is the Viognier variety, which is harvested every year at the highest possible physiological ripeness with the aim of producing fine, elegant wines.
The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
