honeyed

Description for the typical flavour and aroma of honey in a wine. The diverse flavours with a wide range are caramel, spicy, fruity, medium sweet, cinnamon, marzipan, bittersweet and aniseed. This characterises particularly sweet, often amber-coloured sweet wines made from botrytised grapes such as Beerenauslese, Trockenbeerenauslese and ice wines. See also under mead (honey wine).

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
