honeyed

Description for the typical smell and taste of honey in the context of a wine address. This characterises especially noble sweet often amber-coloured wines from botritysed grapes with mostly typical caramel-like tones. However, this is also to a lesser extent the characteristic of ripe white wines of good vintages.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
