The red grape variety originates from Uzbekistan. Synonyms are Chernaya Krasavitsa, Gousal Kara, Gousale Kara, Guzali Kara, Guzel Kara and Tusali Kara. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2013, it is a cross (presumably a Neuzüchtungnew variety) between Katta Kurgan x Dodrelyabi (Kharistvala Kolkhuri). It is a parent of the Moldova variety. Kuzal Kara is mainly used as table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
