Groppello dei Berici

The red grape variety (also Groppello di Berici) originates from Italy. The parentage (parenthood) is unknown. It must not be confused with other Groppello varieties such as Groppello di Mocasina, Groppello di Revò or Groppello Gentile and Pignola Valtellinese, because of apparent synonyms or morphological similarities. In 2016, however, no stock was recorded (statistics Kym Anderson).

The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
