Groppello

Frequent component of grape variety names or synonyms (also Grapello, Gropello, Groppella) in Italy (three "Grappello varieties" are also listed due to the similarity of names). The name derives from "Gropo", which according to a local dialect means "knot" after the grape shape. Some, but not all, are related:
