Synonyms are Grand Bouschet, Grand Noir as second main name, Granoir, Gros Noir, Gros Producteur, Morrastel-Bouschet (France); Grand Bouschet, Sumo Tinto, Tinta, Tinta Fina (Portugal); Garnacho, Gran Negro (Spain); Kalmettei Nagy Fekete (Hungary).
