The white grape variety originates from Spain. Synonyms are Girò Commune di Sorso, Girò Morbido and Girò Rosso. It is a reddish berry mutation of the Girò Sardo variety. It must not be confused with the red Italian variety Girò (with synonym Girò Rosso). It is grown in small quantities on the Spanish island of Mallorca (main island of the Balearic Islands). However, no stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
