Producer description of "Weingut Ewald Diem"

The winery is located in the municipality of Hohenruppersdorf in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Weinviertel. The business, which was taken over by Johann Diem in 1972, has been run by his son Ewald Diem, the fifth generation of the family, since 2008. The vineyards cover ten hectares of vines in the Breitenlus, Steinberg and Wegscheid vineyards. They are 60% planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Neuburger, Müller-Thurgau and Roter Muskateller, and 40% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt,Pinot Noir and Blauburger.
