Château Dutruch-Grand-Poujeaux

The winery is located in the commune of Moulis or the area of the same name in the Médoc (Bordeaux). In the Bordeaux classification according to the old system, which is no longer valid, it was last classified as "Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel" in 2003. A Monsieur Dutruch had the château built in the 19th century. In 1967 it was sold by M. Lambert to his relative François Cordonnier, who passed it on to his nephew Jean-Baptiste in 1993. The vineyards cover 25 hectares and are planted with Merlot (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon (45%) and Petit Verdot (5%). The long-lasting red wine is aged for 12 months in up to 50% new barriques. Other wines are produced under "La Barnède-Grand Poujeaux" and "La Gravière-Grand Poujeaux".
