Château des Annereaux

The estate is located in the commune of Lalande de Pomerol in the area of the same name (Bordeaux). It had been owned by the Milhade family since 1938, before being taken over 100% by the Hessel family, who also own Château Moulin-à-Vent in the Haut-Médoc, through a share purchase in 2005. The vineyards cover 22 hectares of gravel and sandy soils and are planted with Merlot (70%), Cabernet Franc (18%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (12%). Half of the long-lived red wine is matured in new barriques. The second wine is called "Château des Biscarats".
