The vineyard is located in the municipality of Cantenac in the Margaux area of the Médoc(Bordeaux). It was last classified as Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in the Bordeaux classification system, which is no longer valid, in 2003. The name goes back to Marquis Bertrand d'Angludet, who had large estates here in the 12th century. In 1791, the estate was divided into four parts by inheritance, so that it was not included in the Bordeaux classification in 1855, which would otherwise most likely have been the case. After several changes of ownership, the estate was taken over by Peter Sichel in 1961. After the death of the founder, his son Benjamin took over the management of the family ancestral home in 1998. The castle was completely renovated. The vineyards cover 32 hectares and are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (55%), Merlot (35%) and Petit Verdot (10%). The long-lasting red wine matures for 12 months in barriques, 20% of which are new. The second wine is called "La Ferme d'Angludet". A "Clairet d'Angludet" is also produced.
