Braunfels

Single location in the municipality of Wiltingen (Saar area) in the German Moselle growing region. The vineyards, which face west to southwest with a slope inclination of 25 to 50%, comprise 20 hectares of vineyards. The best plots are those in the western neighbourhood of the famous Scharzhofberg. The soil consists of weathered grey slate with greywacke, quartzite and clay. Riesling is cultivated here above all. The Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt, Reinert, Rinke and Van Volxem wineries, for example, all have shares.
