The winery is located in the municipality of Gau-Odernheim ( Nierstein area) at the foot of the Petersberg in the German wine-growing region of Rheinhessen. Its origins go back to the 17th century. After a chequered history, Georg-Heinz Becker built a new winery outside the village in 1962 and named it "Felsenkeller". In 2005 it was given its present name and since 2006 has been run by the fourth generation of the family, the winegrowing couple Julia Landgraf née Becker (Dipl. Ing. Weinbau & Oenologie) and Johannes Landgraf (Weinbautechniker). The vineyards cover nine hectares of vineyards in the Herrgottspfad and Ölberg (Gau-Odernheim), as well as Rosenberg (Biebelnheim). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris, as well as with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir and St. Laurent.
