The red grape variety is a new variety between Ribier (Alphonse Lavallée) x Black Monukka. Synonyms are Attica Seedless and Attiki. The cross was made in Athens (Greece) in 1979 by the breeder Michos Vassilos. The vine has red-coloured, seedless berries and is mainly used as table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
In the past, you needed a wealth of encyclopaedias and specialist literature to keep up to date in your vinophile professional life. Today, Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one of my best helpers and can rightly be called the "bible of wine knowledge".
