The originally protected PDO area (also Atenuri) is located in the south of the city of Gori in the Kartlia region of Georgia. It extends 580 to 750 metres above sea level on the right bank of the Mtkvari (Kura) River in the municipalities of Chechelaantubani, Degeula, Didi Ateni, Gardateni, Jebiri, Patara Ateni and Pukhaantubani. There is a sparkling wine and a semi-sparkling wine, which are vinified dry. They are blended from the Chinuri and/or Goruli Mtsvane and/or Aligoté varieties and are characterised by a straw-yellow colour with a terroir-typical aroma of meadow flowers.
The Wine lexicon helps me to keep up to date and refresh my knowledge. Thank you for this Lexicon that will never end in terms of topicality! That's what makes it so exciting to come back often.
