Professional tasters who regularly carry out wine evaluations in the form of regulated tastings and publish the results in books, journals and wine guides. Most of them are also authors on the topics of food and drink or lifestyle (see wine to food). The best-known of the guild exert a significant influence on buying behaviour. A well rated wine with at least 90 out of 100 points from the US critic Pope Robert M. Parker fetches significantly better prices.
