The winery is located in the municipality of Neckenmarkt in the Austrian DAC area of Mittelburgenland. Attached is the Buschenschank "Georgischenke". The winery is managed by Georg Wieder. The vineyards cover 30 hectares in the Bodigraben, Hochberg and Spiegelberg vineyards. They are 95% planted with the red wine varieties Blaufränkisch (60%), Zweigelt, St. Laurent, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, and 5% with the white wine varieties Welschriesling and Chardonnay. Natural, environmentally friendly viticulture is consistently practised. The quality criteria in the vineyard are the care of old vines, short pruning, extreme yield restriction by means of thinning, meticulous leaf wall design and healthy, fully ripe grape material through an optimal harvest date.
