Hochberg

A vineyard or site in the municipality of Deutschkreutz in the Austrian wine-growing region of Mittelburgenland. Like the Goldberg vineyard, it is part of the "Biiri" old vineyards. The southwest-facing vineyards are about 200 metres above sea level. The upper and lower slopes are dominated by medium-heavy loamy soils with a high clay content. Directly on the slope it is a sandy loam with a high lime content. Here, mainly Blaufränkisch is cultivated. The slope is exposed to intense sunlight. The wineries Bayer Heribert, Igler Hans, Igler Josef, Tesch Josef, Wieder Juliana and Winzerkeller Neckenmarkt, for example, have shares in the vineyard.
