Twelve Apostles' Wine

Name for a sweet brand wine of the company "Bodegas Schenk S.A." from Valencia (Spain). It is a sweet, high-alcohol red wine cuvée with a high proportion of residual sugar, which is drunk as an aperitif. In the city wine tavern "Zwölf-Apostelkeller" in Vienna (Austria) with vaulted cellars dating back to the 15th century, the house brand is called "Apostelwein", which is pressed from the Neuburger variety by the Schlemmer winery (Weinviertel, Lower Austria). Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
