The red grape variety is a new breed between Gárdonyi Géza x Bikavér 8, synonymous with Bikavér 12 and Eger 205, crossed in Eger in 1965 by the Hungarian breeder József Csizmazia. With the same parents (but the parents vice versa) the new breed Turán was created. In 2016, however, no stocks were recorded (statistics Kym Anderson). There is also a white grape variety Titan from the Ukraine (no further information).
