Salkhino Ojaleshi

The originally protected PDO area (also Ojaleshi Salkhino) is located around the municipality of Martvili in the Megrelien (Samegrelo) area in the Guria region of Georgia. It stretches 250 metres above sea level from the left bank of the Tekhura River to the hills of the Kvibia Mountains. The dry red wine is made from the pure Ojaleshi variety. It is characterised by a ruby-red colour and an extract-rich, fruity aroma of red berries and roses.
