English term (also Kilderkin, meaning small barrel) for an Anglo-American measure or a small type of barrel for beer, wine and spirits with a volume of 68.191 litres in England and 68.137 litres in the USA. The old Rundlet in the wine trade differed from the legal Rundlet and was slightly smaller, but for beer it was larger. See also under hollow measures, barrel types and wine vessels.
