Primus

The winery with a 400-year-old winegrower's house is located in the municipality of Spielfeld-Grassnitzberg on the South Styrian Wine Route in the South Styrian wine-growing region (Austria). Several guest rooms are available for rent. The winery has been run by the brothers Christian (cellar master) and Thomas (vineyards, sales) Polz since 1998.

Vineyards & grape varieties

The vineyards cover 16 hectares of vines in the Grassnitzberg and Zieregg vineyards, as well as just 400 metres as the crow flies from the border in Slovenia. They are planted with the white wine varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc),...
