The Zieregg vineyard (site) is located south-east of the municipality of Ehrenhausen in the cadastral municipality of Wielitsch in the Styrian wine-growing region of southern Styria(Austria). It consists of three unconnected parts. The western and eastern parts border directly on Slovenia. It was mentioned in the Franziszeische Land Register in 1824.

The south-south-west facing vineyards cover 14 hectares of vines at 352 to 473 metres above sea level with slopes of 6° to 38°. The gradient is quite varied with a difference in altitude of 121 metres. To protect against erosion caused by abundant rainfall, some areas are drained.

I have great respect for the scope and quality of the wein.plus encyclopaedia. It is a unique place to go for crisp, sound information on terms from the world of wine.
