Vineyard (site) in the municipality of Berghausen in the Austrian wine-growing region of southern Styria, which extends into neighbouring Slovenia. The vineyards, which face west to south-west at an altitude of up to 470 metres above sea level with a slope of 35 to 45%, cover 12 hectares. There are old water wells in the upper area. Some areas are drained to protect them from the erosion caused by abundant rainfall. In the upper area, which is interspersed with shell limestone, there is blue marl up to 12 metres deep, which also comes to the surface in some places.
The white wine varieties Chardonnay and Morillon, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Silvaner, Riesling, Traminer, Pinot Blanc and Welschriesling, as well as the red wine varieties Blaufränkisch and Cabernet Sauvignon and Steirischer Mischsatz are cultivated. The wineries Domäne Müller, Primus and Tement Manfred, for example, have shares in the vineyard.
