Jägerberg

Vineyard (location) in the western part of the municipality of Gamlitz in the areas of the cadastral municipalities of Kranachberg and Labitschberg on the eastern foothills of the Kranachberg. It is located in the wine-growing region of southern Styria (Austria). The south-facing vineyards cover 24 hectares of vines at 306 to 403 metres above sea level with a slope of 1° to 31°. It is classified as a "Erste STK Lage" (see details under Styrian Terroir & Classic Wine Estates). The deep soil is loamy with a low humus content on sand and sandstone subsoil with a low lime content. Dry with moderate permeability and correspondingly limited water storage capacity.
