The white grape variety is a new variety between Schiava Grossa (Trollinger) x Riesling, which was last confirmed by DNA analyses carried out in 2018. Synonyms are Herold Triumpf, Kerner Bijeli, Kernerrebe, Trollinger x Riesling Renano S 25/30, Weinsberg S 25 and (first name) Weißer Herold.
