Frickenhäuser Kapellenberg

Along with Altenberg, Herrenberg, Kirchberg, Klosterberg, Rosenberg and Sonnenberg, the designation is one of the most common single vineyard designations in Germany. A single vineyard named Kapellenberg occurs a total of 37 times in 8 of the 13 German wine-growing regions.

Durbach - Baden (Ortenau)

The vineyard, which faces west to southwest and has a slope of 30 to 45%, covers almost seven hectares of vineyards on granite weathered soil. Pinot Noir, Riesling and Müller-Thurgau are cultivated here. The Schwab Josef winery is the sole owner of the site.

Frickenhausen - Franconia (Maindreieck)

The heart of the vineyard is located directly below the Valentinus Chapel, which gives the vineyard its name. The chapel was built and consecrated in 1699 in the middle of the vineyards as the result of a miraculous event. The mayor of Frickenhausen, Valentin Zang, who was confined to his bed by paralysis, swore an oath to have a small chapel built in the event of his recovery. According to...
